Job Description

Join the Award-Winning Team at Priestly Demolition

We don’t just tear things down; we clear the way for what’s next. At Priestly Demolition, we’re proud to lead the industry with award-winning projects, cutting-edge equipment and a team-first mindset. From major infrastructure removals to complex, high-risk takedowns, our work has earned us global recognition, including multiple World Demolition Awards and repeat spots on Canada’s Best Managed Companies List.

We take safety seriously. It’s at the core of everything we do. With an in-house safety team, engineering department, extensive training programs, and a culture of accountability, we make sure every member of our crew gets home safe.

We’re also proud to lead the charge in environmental stewardship, recycling materials on-site and using sustainable practices that protect the communities we serve. And when it comes to people, inclusivity isn’t just a value, it’s a promise. We believe great work comes from diverse voices, strong teamwork and a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

Our core values are extremely important to us. Are they aligned with yours?

Safety – We believe in protecting generations. We recognize the impact of our actions and take responsibility for protecting our people, communities, and the environment.

Family – We believe we’re stronger together. We are family who builds communities on a firm foundation of trust and respect.

Integrity – We believe in doing what’s right. We build long-term partnerships through integrity, generosity, and the highest accountability to each other and our clients.

Innovation – We believe demolition drives progress. We create opportunities by challenging ourselves and intentionally pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

Primary Purpose of Position:

The Regional Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth across PDI’s regional markets. As the PDI brand expands our regional business development team across North America, we're looking for a proven, relationship-driven professional who knows the construction, demolition, environmental, industrial, mining or infrastructure market and has an established network of clients and industry contacts.

This is a client-facing role split between the office, client sites and active projects. The role is built for someone who enjoys opening doors, building trust, creating opportunities and turning relationships into profitable work.

This position offers a competitive incentive plan designed to reward business development success, along with a car allowance.

Job Duties:

  • Own business development activity within your territory and build a qualified pipeline of demolition, environmental and related project opportunities.
  • Develop and deepen relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, consultants, engineers, industrial clients and other key decision-makers.
  • Identify opportunities early and generate new business through existing relationships, referrals, targeted prospecting, site visits, networking and industry events.
  • Partner closely with Estimating, Operations, Marketing and leadership to qualify opportunities and develop strong pursuit strategies, proposals and client presentations.
  • Maintain continuity with clients from early engagement through award and handoff to the project team, supporting repeat business and long-term account growth.
  • Provide current market intelligence on clients, competitors, upcoming projects and changing conditions within the territory.
  • Represent Priestly Demolition professionally at client meetings, job sites, conferences, trade associations and industry events.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with local municipalities, industry associations, business networks, and community committees within the construction, demolition, environmental, industrial, mining, and infrastructure sectors to strengthen the Priestly brand, identify growth opportunities, support business development initiatives, and enhance the company's reputation as a trusted industry partner.

The responsibilities outlined above describe the general nature of this role and are not intended to be an exhaustive list. Additional duties may be assigned as required to support business needs.

  • 5+ years of successful business development, sales or account-management experience in demolition, construction, environmental services, industrial services, infrastructure or a closely related sector.
  • An established network of relevant decision-makers in your territory — people who know you, trust you and will take your call.
  • A demonstrated track record of generating opportunities, developing accounts and contributing to awarded work.
  • Working knowledge of construction project lifecycles, procurement, proposals and estimating/quoting processes.
  • Familiarity with client prequalification systems and public procurement portals; understanding that safety performance is part of the commercial sell in our sector.
  • Familiarity with Indigenous procurement requirements and partnership models is a strong asset.
  • Confidence working with owners, contractors, consultants, engineers and project teams at both executive and field levels.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Disciplined use of CRM and comfort being measured on activity, pipeline quality and commercial results.
  • Self-directed, energetic and accountable, with the judgement to work independently while collaborating across functions.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory; occasional broader North American travel may be required.
