Job Description

We’re looking for Personal Care Assistants who are excited to provide compassionate, non-medical care and support to clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll assist with activities of daily living and personal care, meal preparation and feeding, medication reminders, activities, light housekeeping, and transportation needs. You’ll also help maintain a safe, clean environment while supporting each client’s day-to-day needs.

We provide our clients with around-the-clock care. All staff members are required to work one weekend per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attendant care and assistance with activities of daily living and personal care, including grooming and toileting

• Assist with meal preparation and feeding

• Provide medication reminders

• Engage clients in activities

• Perform light housekeeping and help maintain a safe, clean environment

• Assist with clients’ transportation needs

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and maintained

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

• Ability to write legibly, spell correctly, and perform basic mathematics

• Six months of caregiver experience in home care preferred

• Valid California driver’s license and proof of a good driving record

• Automobile insurance coverage and access to a dependable vehicle for traveling to and from patient homes

• Required to complete Live Scan

• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language

• Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community
