Job Description

Private Equity Associate

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Private Equity Associate based in United States.

This is a consultative private-markets sales role focused on building trusted relationships with accredited investors across the United States. You will help investors understand and evaluate opportunities across private companies, secondary transactions, and pre-IPO investments. The role combines outbound business development, investor relationship management, financial education, and deal execution. You will manage your own book of business while leveraging an established network of engaged accredited investors. Success requires the ability to understand investor objectives, communicate complex opportunities clearly, and build lasting relationships. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity within a rapidly evolving area of fintech and alternative investing, with significant exposure to sophisticated investors and emerging companies

Accountabilities:
  • Build and manage meaningful long-term relationships with accredited investors across the United States, serving as a trusted advisor throughout their private-market investment journey.
  • Conduct consultative conversations with investors to understand their portfolio objectives, investment preferences, risk appetite, and broader financial goals.
  • Educate investors on private-market opportunities, including private companies, secondary transactions, and pre-IPO offerings, clearly explaining relevant investment characteristics and considerations.
  • Identify opportunities to align individual investor interests with suitable private offerings and proactively introduce relevant investment opportunities.
  • Develop and manage an individual book of business through outbound investor outreach, qualified lead follow-up, relationship development, and consistent engagement.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable connection between investors and private-market opportunities, helping clients navigate the investment process from initial conversation through capital commitment.
  • Maintain strong investor engagement and loyalty through proactive relationship management, thoughtful follow-up, and high-quality client interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide a seamless experience throughout the investor lifecycle, from initial outreach and education through completed transactions.
  • Contribute directly to deal flow, capital commitments, and broader growth by building investor momentum and developing a strong, active network of qualified clients.
Requirements:
  • Proven success in outbound sales, business development, relationship-driven sales, or another high-performance client acquisition environment.
  • Active Series 7 and Series 63 licenses are required.
  • Must live and work permanently in the United States.
  • Experience selling investment products or working directly with retail or accredited investors is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interest in finance, private equity, alternative investments, fintech, and emerging technology sectors, with the ability to stay informed about evolving private-market trends.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable operating in a performance-driven environment where individual initiative and results are highly valued.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with a natural ability to establish trust and conduct meaningful conversations with sophisticated investors.
  • Ability to explain complex investment opportunities clearly and confidently, adapting communication to different levels of financial knowledge and investor objectives.
  • High emotional intelligence and sound judgment when navigating sophisticated, high-value client relationships.
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to operate as a trusted advisor rather than relying solely on transactional sales techniques.
  • Strong follow-through, organization, and relationship-management skills, with the discipline to independently manage a book of business and multiple investor conversations.
Benefits:
  • Salary and compensation opportunities aligned with a performance-driven private-markets sales environment.
  • 100% company-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance, with flexibility to select from available plans.
  • Generous equity package.
  • Unlimited paid time off and unlimited sick days.
  • Fully remote work environment across the United States.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Optional paid WeWork usage.
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave.
  • 401(k) program.
  • Team off-sites and celebration dinners.
  • Opportunity to work directly with accredited and high-net-worth investors and gain exposure to sophisticated private-market transactions.
  • Access to emerging private companies, secondary transactions, and pre-IPO investment opportunities that are typically less accessible to individual investors.
  • Opportunity to build deep expertise in private markets, alternative investing, fintech, and emerging industries.
  • Exposure to a rapidly growing segment of the financial services industry and the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of access to private-market investing.
