Job Description

Technical Product Lead - AI Finance App

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Product Lead - AI Finance App based in the United States.

As a Technical Product Lead, you will own a product vertical end-to-end within an AI-native financial superapp spanning payments, remittances, insurance, wealth, and trading. You will shape strategy, define outcomes, guide technical design, and lead products from concept through production and launch. Because these products handle real money, reliability, security, regulatory compliance, and accurate financial operations are fundamental to your work. You will partner closely with engineering to make informed decisions across architecture, APIs, data, reconciliation, scalability, and failure handling. You will also determine where AI can genuinely improve customer outcomes while ensuring appropriate evaluation, safeguards, human oversight, and deterministic controls. This is a high-ownership role in a distributed, fast-moving international environment where thoughtful product judgment and execution are critical.

Accountabilities:
  • Own a product vertical end-to-end, including product strategy, desired outcomes, success metrics, roadmap, prioritization, delivery, and launch.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to shape technical solutions across APIs, system architecture, data flows, databases, ledgering, reconciliation, security, scalability, and failure management.
  • Make deliberate trade-offs across product correctness, delivery speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, operational complexity, and user experience.
  • Embed regulatory and compliance requirements directly into product design, including KYC, transaction monitoring, transaction limits, privacy, licensing, and other applicable controls.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI where it can materially improve outcomes while establishing clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, reliability standards, and failure-handling mechanisms.
  • Lead product delivery in environments with external dependencies, including regulatory approvals, financial infrastructure, payment rails, and third-party partners.
  • Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around product decisions, priorities, launch criteria, and expected outcomes.
  • Drive products from zero-to-one where appropriate, moving quickly while ensuring critical technical, regulatory, and operational gates are met.
  • Ensure financial products behave predictably and transparently, with accurate money movement and clear communication about the status of customer funds.
  • Establish clear roadmaps and decision frameworks that enable teams to move quickly while maintaining reliability, trust, and accountability.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex, technical products from strategy through production.
  • Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, distributed systems, and failure modes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineers, review and challenge technical designs, and contribute meaningfully to architectural discussions.
  • Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, fintech, or another regulated and high-consequence product environment.
  • Strong product judgment, with the ability to make difficult decisions and balance technical, regulatory, operational, commercial, and customer considerations.
  • Experience developing products with LLMs or other AI technologies, including an understanding of evaluation, reliability, safeguards, and appropriate use cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively when requirements or information are incomplete.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders around clear decisions and priorities.
  • High ownership, execution speed, and comfort operating in a distributed, international, and fast-changing environment.
  • Engineering experience or a highly technical product background is a plus.
  • Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products is desirable.
  • Experience defining evaluation frameworks for machine learning or LLM-powered products is an advantage.
  • Strong English communication skills are required, as English is the primary working language across global teams.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote role with the opportunity to work globally across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Flexible environment designed for collaboration across a distributed international team.
  • High level of ownership and autonomy over a product vertical and its strategic direction.
  • Opportunity to build innovative AI-powered financial products across payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading.
  • Direct exposure to complex technical, regulatory, and financial challenges with significant product impact.
  • Fast-moving interview and hiring process, with strong candidates potentially completing the process and receiving an offer within approximately one week.
  • Opportunity to work alongside an international team representing more than 20 nationalities and a broad range of perspectives.
  • Practical and technical assessments designed to evaluate candidates through real-world problem solving and product expertise.
