Job Description
Build comfort. Build your career.
Advanced Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer for our Thatcher location. In this role, you'll take ownership of installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems from start to finish — ensuring they're properly installed to code and industry standards, with a 5-star customer experience on every job.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Install complete HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and ductwork to manufacturer specs, code, and industry standards
- Perform thorough start-up, testing, and commissioning of installed systems to ensure proper operation; complete and sign the Safety, Quality, and Assurance Report
- Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after installation — delivering on the expectations set by the Comfort Advisor and ensuring the customer is fully prepared to operate their new system
- Protect and care for the customer's home throughout the installation process
- Complete pre-install, safety, and post-install checklists accurately, including the Job Site Hazard Analysis Report (JHAR), before beginning work
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used; report issues and replenishment needs to the Project Management Team at job completion
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to complete installations on schedule
- Help train and mentor install helpers and apprentices on the job
- Stay current with industry standards, building codes, and licensing requirements
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of HVAC installation experience (residential install experience strongly preferred)
- Ability to run installs with minimal supervision — furnaces, condensers, heat pumps, mini-splits, and ductwork
- EPA Certification required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and approval to drive by the company's insurance carrier
- Strong safety mindset — protective equipment and safety procedures are non-negotiable
Working Conditions:
This is hands-on field work. You'll work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, including tight spaces like attics and crawlspaces, and occasionally at heights of 15+ feet. The role requires climbing, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver heavier items. Good visual acuity (close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception) is required. Flexibility to work hours outside the normal schedule when needed.
Who We Are:
Advanced Air is a growing company in the trades, and we take pride in doing installations the right way. If you want to be part of a team that values quality work and treats customers like neighbors, we'd love to talk.
