Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Financial Analyst I based in India.
This role sits within a dynamic finance operations environment focused on supporting contract and project financial setups in a global ERP system. The position plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial data entry, revenue recognition support, and compliance with internal controls and SOX guidelines. You will work closely with project managers and finance stakeholders to process contract amendments, resolve setup issues, and maintain data integrity across systems. The role involves handling a mix of simple to moderately complex requests within defined turnaround times while ensuring high-quality service delivery. You will also contribute to system testing, implementation support, and ongoing process improvements. This is a detail-oriented position in a fast-paced, collaborative setting where accuracy and responsiveness are essential.
- Execute financial setups and contract/project creation in Workday based on validated business documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Process contract amendments, modifications, and updates in Workday while adhering to internal controls and compliance requirements
- Support revenue recognition activities by validating financial data and assisting in resolving discrepancies or stuck cases
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as project managers and finance teams to obtain missing inputs and ensure timely processing
- Maintain accurate financial records and audit trails to support internal and external audit requirements
- Assist in user acceptance testing, system implementations, and resolution of technical or process-related issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance operations and order-to-cash processes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related financial operations role
- Graduate degree preferred in finance or accounting; CMA Inter, CMA qualified, or MBA in Finance preferred
- Strong understanding of financial processes, contract management, and accounting principles
- Hands-on exposure to Workday Financials or similar ERP systems and MS Office tools
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, mailbox management capability, and proactive problem-solving mindset
