Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Wholesale Outside Sales Representative to grow and maintain relationships with independent repair facilities, collision centers, fleet accounts, and automotive businesses. This position is responsible for increasing wholesale automotive parts sales through relationship building, prospecting new business, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining regular in-person contact with assigned accounts.
The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, organized, and knowledgeable about the automotive industry. Experience with OEM or aftermarket automotive parts sales is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with wholesale automotive repair accounts
- Prospect and acquire new business through cold calling, in-person visits, networking, and referral
- Conduct regular outside sales visits to independent repair facilities, collision centers, and fleet accounts
- Promote OEM and aftermarket automotive parts programs, specials, and promotions
- Assist customers with parts inquiries, pricing, availability, and product recommendations
- Work closely with the inside sales and warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- Follow up on quotes, open orders, backorders, and customer concerns
- Maintain customer contact records and sales activity within CRM systems
- Monitor local market trends, competitor pricing, and customer buying habits
- Meet or exceed monthly sales and gross profit objectives
- Participate in vendor training, product knowledge sessions, and sales meetings
- Represent the company professionally in both appearance and communication
& Qualifications
- Previous automotive parts sales experience preferred
- Wholesale automotive industry experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and repair processes
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Basic computer and CRM skills
- Experience with platforms such as RepairLink, CollisionLink, OPS, PartsTrader, Nexpart, or PartsTech is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
