Position Summary:
To provide individual/and or family therapy according to intervention strategies approved by Agape Network, Medicaid, and DCF regulations when deemed medically necessary to be provided residential treatment services to improve to quality of life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual counseling to assigned caseload on a weekly basis.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, as deemed necessary at the residential level of care.
- Complete all clinical assessments and paperwork such as Biopsychosocial, Master Treatment Plans, Treatment Plan Reviews, and ancillary documentation within 24 hours of contact with individuals served.
- Complete state reporting documents FASAMS (i.e., admission, quarterly, and discharge).
- Submit progress notes every 24 hours from the date services are rendered.
- Attend training, when deemed necessary, to increase clinical knowledge and best practices.
- Participate in daily meetings to provide updates on progress made by individual served as well as status change to provide authorization specialist clinical information for pre-authorization and continued stay authorization required every 7 days.
- Collaborate with Residential Clinical & Intake Supervisor to mitigate emergency situations that require immediate attention: (i.e., Baker Acts, Police calls, DCF reports, safety concerns).
- When appropriate renew state license and registered intern status with the Department of Health.
- Be a facilitator between the Agape Staff and individual served.
- Provide psychosocial réhabilitation groups, weekly.
- Attend clinical supervision weekly, biweekly, monthly contingent on recommendations from Residential Clinical & Intake Supervisor to no less than 1 time per month.
- Complete continuing education certificates including HIPPA, CPR, and Relias training.
- Check email communication daily and respond to emails within 24 hours.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Residential Manager.
- Maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and car insurance.
Education and/or Experience: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Social Work, plus one-year experience working with severely emotionally disturbed individuals served or individuals with co-occurring disorders. Must obtain Registered intern status in the state of Florida in Mental Health/Social Work/ or Marriage and Family Counseling within 60 days. Computer skills are essential.
