General Cleaner at Marsden Central, L.LC.

Shift: Monday through Friday 4:00pm to 7:00pm (Summer pours Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 2:30pm)

Location: Heron Lake, MN

Requirements:

This position completes janitorial cleaning in a Elementary School. It's a very busy school and school staff will be present during some of the shift. Applicant must be dependable, very detailed oriented, and a "top notch" cleaner for a school setting The Janitorial Staff does work daytime hours during the Summer months (June through August) from Monday through Thursday. There are more hours available to work during the Summer months (approximately 30 hours per week). During the Summer months, the staff works on project work to deep clean all classrooms and common areas in both the Elementary School & High School to include moving furniture, stripping or scrubbing hard floors, carpet cleaning. wall washing, window cleaning, etc. During the school year (September through May), the position is evening hours starting at 4:00 PM (approximately 15 hours per week) from Monday through Friday. During the school year, its basic janitorial cleaning of restrooms, locker rooms, classrooms, media center, etc. The position will also help clean up after evening events in the gym. There are other cleaners at the Elementary School as well that complete a job run in a section of the school. This can be a very physical job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

• You must be 18 years old.
• For safety reasons, you must be able to speak English.
• A pre-employment criminal background check is required.
• Able to lift up to 30lbs.

Job Duties:

As you might expect, cleaning is at the heart of what your job will entail. For the most part, youll be:

• Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors throughout.
• Waste Removal: Collecting and disposing of trash from bins throughout the building.
• Restrooms: Cleaning and sanitizing, restocking supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels)
• Surface cleaning: Dusting, wiping and sanitizing surfaces, fixtures and furniture.
