Senior UI/ UX Business Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior UI/UX Business Analyst based in Canada.

This remote role offers the opportunity to shape digital experiences by combining user research, business analysis, and modern design practices. You will help design and improve web and mobile solutions by translating business needs into intuitive, accessible, and impactful user experiences. Working closely with stakeholders and delivery teams, you will create user-centered designs that align technology solutions with real user needs. The position requires a strong understanding of UX strategy, interface design, accessibility standards, and digital product development. You will contribute to projects that improve usability, engagement, and accessibility across online platforms. This opportunity is ideal for a creative and analytical professional who enjoys solving complex problems through thoughtful design.

Accountabilities
  • Translate business and data requirements into detailed specifications that support the design and development of effective technology solutions.
  • Design user-centered digital experiences for web and mobile environments, considering usability, accessibility, and emotional aspects of user interactions.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and workshops to understand user needs and translate insights into actionable design improvements.
  • Create and deliver wireframes, user stories, user flows, journey maps, mockups, prototypes, and other UX documentation.
  • Design intuitive interfaces and experiences optimized for different devices, platforms, and user contexts.
  • Facilitate product vision by researching, conceptualizing, prototyping, and testing digital solutions.
  • Perform usability testing and incorporate user feedback to continuously improve existing and future interfaces.
  • Ensure designs meet accessibility requirements, including compliance with applicable accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and project teams to align design decisions with technical capabilities and business objectives.
  • Identify user experience challenges and develop creative, practical solutions.
  • Make strategic design decisions related to core functionality, new features, and overall product experience.
  • Manage competing priorities, maintain project timelines, and support strong stakeholder relationships.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, Interactive Designer, Business Analyst, or similar role focused on digital product experiences.
  • Strong background in UI/UX design for web and mobile applications.
  • Experience conducting user research and transforming findings into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and improved experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to create GUI designs based on user interaction principles and performance requirements.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing recent UI/UX work, including web-based products or digital platforms.
  • Experience with usability testing and accessibility compliance, including Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools.
  • Strong understanding of web development technologies, their limitations, and appropriate applications.
  • Experience designing online programs with a focus on user emotions, engagement, and overall experience.
  • Knowledge of user journey mapping, interaction design, and product usability principles.
  • Ability to gather and analyze user feedback to improve existing interfaces.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of network security and network protocols is an asset.
  • Experience with programming concepts and CSS is an advantage.
