About the Role

We are seeking a 1st Shift Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to accurately bend and form sheet metal and components according to engineering drawings, customer specifications, and production requirements.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with the production team to maintain an efficient workflow, meet production schedules, and ensure parts are produced accurately and consistently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling and verify machine settings prior to production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and specifications.
  • Measure and inspect parts using appropriate precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Make necessary machine and tooling adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Monitor production throughout the run and identify potential quality or equipment issues.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of press brake equipment.
  • Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and production issues and communicate more complex issues to leadership or maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to perform measurements and calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC press brake equipment.
  • Experience with CNC programming or machine controls.
  • Previous sheet metal or metal fabrication experience.
  • Certification or technical training in press brake operation, machining, or metal fabrication.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety practices within a metal fabrication environment.
