The Sr Software Engineer I will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions while contributing to technical strategy and product evolution. The role requires strong ownership, collaboration, and the ability to deliver reliable solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
- Drive technical and architectural decisions that align with product requirements while anticipating future scalability and performance needs.
- Design, develop, test, and enhance software applications and platform capabilities for customer-facing and internal solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, support engineering best practices, and help teams deliver production-ready code.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure successful delivery.
- Build and maintain automated testing, integration, and deployment frameworks to improve software quality and efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews, software design discussions, sprint planning, and Agile development processes.
- Track project progress, provide visibility into sprint work, and help break down complex initiatives into manageable tasks.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing applications.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply modern development practices to improve solutions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong technical expertise, a passion for innovation, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote and agile environment.
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, architecture, and the complete software development lifecycle.
- Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar platforms.
- Strong proficiency with .NET Core, .NET Framework, Entity Framework/Dapper, Web APIs, and Microservices.
- Experience developing database-driven applications using relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
- Experience with modern front-end technologies including Node.js, Angular or React, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Familiarity with LLMs, agentic frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and MCP servers is an asset.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, multi-tenant architectures, message queues, and containerization technologies is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to work independently, challenge assumptions, ask thoughtful questions, and adapt to changing technology landscapes.
- Experience working with remote teams is preferred.
- Previous experience in occupational health, environment, ergonomics, or safety-related industries is considered an asset.
