Starting Hourly Wage: $38.46 - $52.88/hour; depending on experience
Location: Boise, Idaho
Classification: Non-exempt

Position Overview:
The Safety Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of safety programs to promote a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to develop and maintain safety policies and procedures.
- Assess the effectiveness of safety initiatives and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to enhancements of safety programs, including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, and risk management.
- Identify opportunities to reduce workplace injuries, incidents, and health risks.
- Share environmental and safety-related information across the organization.
- Monitor and report safety metrics to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Evaluate safety training programs and recommend updates or improvements.
- Support delivery of New Hire Safety Orientation as needed.
- Coordinate scheduling for safety-related training such as OSHA 30, OSHA 500, First Aid, and other required sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of completed safety certifications and continuing education units (CEUs).
- Perform other safety and compliance duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and organizational safety policies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate engaging and accessible training sessions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience preferred.
- Advanced safety training or certification preferred.
Required Licensing and Other Certifications:
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
