Full Time: Nursing Assistant (NA) – Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
Starting at $19.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

As an Inpatient Rehabilitation Nursing Assistant, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care while supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. You will play an important role in promoting patient comfort, safety, and independence while helping create a positive healing environment for patients and their families.
Duties- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse while considering age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Monitor patients and promptly report changes in condition, abnormal findings, and patient needs to the RN.
- Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, weights, pain scores, and other routine patient information.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, feeding, positioning, transferring, and ambulation.
- Support rehabilitation goals by assisting with coughing, deep breathing exercises, incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy, and other delegated nursing interventions.
- Perform purposeful hourly rounding and respond promptly to patient requests and call lights.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment, including room preparation, equipment cleaning, and linen management.
- Participate in patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and family orientation to the unit and equipment.
- Actively participate in structured and informal handoff communication with the healthcare team.
- Accurately document patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent patient care experience.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain within designated timeframe.
- Ability to safely assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
