Member of Trading Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Member of Trading Operations based in United States.

This role supports institutional clients across the post-trade lifecycle of digital asset activity.
You will oversee timely settlements, reconciliations, cash positioning, inventory management, and operational risk mitigation across crypto and traditional financial assets.
The position combines financial operations expertise with hands-on work across blockchain networks, trading platforms, custodians, banks, and internal systems.
You’ll partner closely with Trading, Engineering, Product, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and other teams to resolve issues and improve workflows.
The environment is fast-moving, requiring sound judgment, strong prioritization, and the ability to adapt as products, regulations, and business strategies evolve.
You’ll also contribute to process improvements, operational projects, and the development of scalable trading and settlement practices.
This is an opportunity to help strengthen the operational infrastructure supporting institutional participation in the evolving digital asset ecosystem.

Accountabilities
  • Manage counterparty and client settlement requests within established service-level agreements and monitor progress against trading operations KPIs.
  • Support daily spot, lending, and derivatives operations, ensuring processing, maintenance, and settlement activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile and monitor digital asset activity across internal ledgers and external systems using blockchain explorers, trading platforms, custodians, banks, and other operational tools.
  • Perform cash positioning and inventory management across product flows to ensure assets are available in the right place at the right time while supporting treasury efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor outstanding settlements, prioritize competing requests, and triage issues while maintaining accuracy across client and counterparty monitoring systems.
  • Identify emerging operational risks, investigate complex settlement questions, and determine appropriate actions to protect both clients and the organization.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve trading, settlement, and risk-management workflows through technology and process enhancements.
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance to provide accurate trade and settlement information and assist with resolving operational breaks.
  • Develop and implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency, scalability, accuracy, and risk control.
  • Create internal presentations, reports, and project materials that support operational improvements and new product or process development.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of digital assets, tokens, protocols, and crypto industry verticals such as staking and governance.
  • Stay informed about developments in cryptocurrency markets, regulatory requirements, trading operations, settlements, and custodial services.
  • Share operational knowledge across the team and build processes that reduce reliance on individual team members.
  • Work collaboratively with traders, operations teams, compliance professionals, executives, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
  • Build strong institutional client relationships by proactively addressing inquiries, providing informed guidance, and communicating clearly.
  • Participate in rotational weekend and holiday coverage to support continuous trading operations.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience supporting settlement activities for institutional clients across both traditional asset classes and crypto assets.
  • Demonstrated understanding of crypto-native institutions and the operational requirements of digital asset businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of financial operations, settlement processes, reconciliations, and related risk-management considerations.
  • Understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, digital asset custody, tokens, protocols, and associated operational workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify emerging risks quickly, develop solutions, and adapt as priorities or business objectives change.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks, competing priorities, and strict deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  • Strong judgment and risk awareness, particularly when handling complex client, counterparty, settlement, or operational issues.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across technical, operational, financial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously as a highly productive individual contributor while also contributing knowledge and expertise to a collaborative team.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in rotational weekend and holiday coverage.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, or low-code platforms is a plus.
  • Experience working in an early-stage or rapidly evolving startup environment is advantageous.
  • A passion for innovation in financial services and digital assets is welcomed.
Benefits
  • Work arrangement: Remote position within the United States.
  • Schedule flexibility: Rotational weekend and holiday coverage as part of the trading operations schedule.
  • Career development: Opportunity to work at the intersection of institutional finance, blockchain technology, trading, custody, and digital assets.
  • Cross-functional exposure: Collaborate with Trading, Engineering, Product, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and other specialized teams.
  • Professional growth: Opportunities to contribute to process improvements, operational projects, and new product initiatives.
  • Inclusive workplace: A collaborative environment designed to support diverse perspectives, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
  • Impact: Play a meaningful role in strengthening the infrastructure and operational capabilities supporting institutional digital asset activity.
