This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Infrastructure Application and Database SME based in the United States.
This is a fully remote opportunity for a senior technical specialist supporting a federal mission-critical program.
The role focuses on providing expert-level guidance across Oracle databases, identity platforms, middleware, analytics, and enterprise infrastructure.
You will tackle highly complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions within a sophisticated government technology environment.
Working with executive-level project teams, you will provide technical direction, evaluate alternatives, and influence long-term technology decisions.
The position combines hands-on administration, implementation, troubleshooting, systems integration, and technical analysis.
You will also contribute to high-quality technical documentation and deliverables supporting federal stakeholders.

- Provide expert technical support, analysis, research, and problem resolution for complex infrastructure, application, database, and identity-management challenges.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert on executive-level project teams, providing technical direction, interpretation, recommendations, and alternative solutions.
- Administer, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle Database, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Single Sign-On (SSO), Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Identity Manager (OIM), Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) environments.
- Support and sustain DoD or federal Oracle identity platforms and associated enterprise technologies.
- Apply advanced technical principles, theories, concepts, and methodologies to unusually complex technology problems.
- Develop innovative technical approaches, advanced technology ideas, and solutions that can be translated into effective final products or capabilities.
- Contribute to architecture, implementation, systems integration, software development methodologies, security engineering, and other relevant IT service areas.
- Independently determine appropriate courses of action to achieve technical and program objectives while working toward established long-term goals.
- Collaborate with technical and program stakeholders to evaluate requirements, resolve challenges, and support successful implementation and sustainment.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely technical documentation, reports, and other deliverables for government stakeholders.
- Apply strong written and verbal communication skills when explaining complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain high standards of quality, timeliness, and professionalism across all assigned technical deliverables.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in infrastructure, applications, databases, identity management, or related technical domains.
- Demonstrated experience supporting DoD or federal Oracle Identity products in an OIM, OAM, and SOA-based environment, version 12c or higher.
- Strong technical knowledge of Oracle enterprise technologies, with hands-on experience administering, implementing, sustaining, and troubleshooting complex platforms.
- Must possess an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) clearance prior to onboarding, with a Secret clearance required upon hire.
- Strong command of the English language, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze exceptionally complex technical problems and develop innovative, practical, and effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and determine appropriate courses of action with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to executive-level stakeholders and broader project teams.
- Experience working in federal or Department of Defense environments is essential.
- Experience supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is highly desirable.
