Position Summary
Responsible commodity and supplier management, including material master scheduling, sourcing, and procurement of components, materials, and equipment. Ensure timely and cost‑effective acquisition of required items by analyzing production schedules, determining material requirements, and monitoring material flow throughout the supply chain
Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule materials required to support production build and on-time delivery goals
- Collaborates with other departments and leadership on requirements for equipment, materials, services, etc.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships
- Strategic sourcing and risk mitigation
- Evaluates and approves conditions for issuing and awarding bids
- Resolve issues, focus on on-time delivery, negotiate material costs with suppliers and contractors
- Initiate requests for quotes (RFQ), places POs and select best suppliers-based price, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Acts as the company’s representative in negotiations with suppliers
- Evaluates excess inventory and obsolete inventory.
- Create and manage work orders until production successfully completes.
- Conduct exhaustive analysis on materials shortage and drive appropriate actions to ensure sufficient inventory for production builds.
- Evaluate material status, identify and resolve constraints, and routinely provide materials readiness status to customers and the program management team.
- Follow up on MOT’s assembly stages, and work closely with production to close out MOT’s on subassemblies as they are completed.
- Collaborate with Engineering to implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge and skills of MRP systems and MS Office Suites is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of MRP and planning tools is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Experience with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) is preferred, but not required
Requirements:
- A thorough understanding of the manufacturing and procurement process is desirable.
- Ability to manage changing priorities, stay organized, and pay attention to details in a fast-paced environment a must.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university majored in business administration, supply chain or operations management; or two to three years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The pay range reflects the expected base salary for this position. Final compensation will be based on role, level, skills, experience, and geographic location.
