Job Description

Conflicts & New Business Analyst

The Conflicts & New Business (CNB) Analyst supports the Conflicts & New Business Manager and Conflicts & New Business Director in managing the operational aspects of the Conflicts Department. The role provides process improvement and analytical support by developing in-depth knowledge of Conflicts and New Business Intake workflows, data processes, and reporting. Leveraging this knowledge, the CNB Analyst partners with key stakeholders to develop reporting and analytical tools that promote compliance, data standardization, and operational efficiency. This role works closely with Conflicts, IT and other accounting stakeholders to support system enhancements and continuous process improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Conflicts and New Business Intake processes to proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvement.

  • Support project planning and execution for Conflicts and Intake initiatives, including tracking milestones, issues, and action items.

  • Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of Conflicts system updates and integrations.

  • Support audits, internal reviews, and data requests related to Conflicts and risk management.

  • Assist with change management activities, including preparation of documentation and training materials for Conflicts and Intake teams.

  • Identify and help eliminate process gaps that compromise the integrity of conflicts related data.

  • Drive initiatives to improve the quality and standardization of data entered into the Firms Conflicts database.

  • Provide operational support for client and matter maintenance requests, New Business Form processing, and retrieval of engagement letters and related documentation.

  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Sciences, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • A minimum of two years of experience in an analyst or compliance role.

  • Familiarity with concepts and tools related to data reporting and visualization.

  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred:

  • Conflicts or compliance experience within a large law firm or comparable professional services organization.

  • Experience with data analysis, information governance, and database maintenance in a legal or regulated environment.

  • Familiarity with the Elite, Jira, and Intapp Conflicts and New Business Intake products.

  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades or integrations.

  • Working knowledge of programming or query languages used for data analysis and database management (e.g., SQL).

The target salary range for this role is:

$72,000 $90,000 if located in Illinois

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
