Lead Product Management and Development

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Product Management and Development based in United States.

This role leads the product development lifecycle for large, complex products and services within a large-scale technology environment.
You will shape product strategy by translating customer needs, market trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging technologies into actionable product roadmaps.
The position combines strategic product leadership with hands-on collaboration across business, technology, architecture, development, UX, and project management teams.
You will define product vision, evaluate feasibility, develop business cases, manage funding, and guide products from concept through delivery.
The role also requires strong market awareness and the ability to anticipate customer, competitive, technological, and regulatory changes.
As a senior product expert, you will influence technology direction, orchestrate cross-functional solutions, and ensure products deliver meaningful business value.
This is a full-time U.S. opportunity that may be performed remotely, with the role based organizationally in El Segundo, California.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead product development: Manage the end-to-end development process for complex products, services, enhancements, and applications, from initial concept and research through product design and delivery.
  • Define product strategy: Establish product vision, roadmaps, priorities, and development programs designed to maximize customer value, business impact, profitability, and efficiency.
  • Translate customer needs: Research customer requirements, analyze needs and priorities, and translate findings into clear product designs, features, functional requirements, and delivery plans.
  • Analyze the market: Define target markets, evaluate competitors, monitor industry and technology trends, and anticipate market, regulatory, and customer changes that could influence product direction.
  • Develop business cases: Prepare and present business cases for new products and services, including feasibility assessments, investment requirements, projected value, and recommended approaches.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration: Partner with business leaders, technology teams, UX professionals, architects, development leads, and technical project managers to design and deliver effective solutions.
  • Shape technology roadmaps: Define strategic roadmaps and vision for information technology teams while translating emerging technologies and market requirements into viable product opportunities.
  • Manage product planning: Create detailed product roadmaps and project plans, establish priorities, acquire estimates, manage budgets, and support funding requests.
  • Orchestrate solution delivery: Coordinate complex products and product lines across diverse teams and third-party providers, ensuring alignment throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Guide technical decisions: Participate in technical design activities, recommend capital investments and production approaches, and conduct feasibility studies for new product initiatives.
  • Manage external services: Oversee third-party provided services within a large-scale technology environment and ensure effective integration with internal product and technology capabilities.
  • Provide product leadership: Serve as a senior subject-matter expert in product development, influencing strategy, resolving complex issues, and establishing effective product management practices.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional experience: At least 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in product management and development or a related occupation.
  • Technology strategy: Demonstrated experience defining roadmaps and strategic vision for information technology teams.
  • Solution leadership: Experience orchestrating technology solutions in collaboration with architects, development leads, technical project managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Product requirements: Proven ability to gather stakeholder and customer inputs and translate marketing requirements and product features into software product features and detailed requirements.
  • Market expertise: Experience researching market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, emerging technologies, and other external factors to inform product strategy.
  • Product development: Strong knowledge of product research, design, planning, development, evaluation, feasibility analysis, and software delivery lifecycle management.
  • Business acumen: Ability to develop and present compelling business cases while considering investment, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer value.
  • Leadership skills: Strong communication, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
  • Operational expertise: Experience managing budgets, funding requests, estimates, product roadmaps, project plans, and third-party services in complex environments.
  • Adaptability: Ability to anticipate and respond effectively to technological, market, competitive, and regulatory influences.
  • Work environment: Comfortable operating independently and collaboratively across a large, geographically distributed U.S. organization.
