Position Overview

CEC is seeking a compassionate and experienced Neurologist to provide specialized care to patients at our Bethpage location. This flexible, part-time opportunity is ideal for a physician looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive neurological evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care

Conduct patient assessments including medical history, examinations, and necessary procedures

Ensure patients and caregivers receive clear follow-up instructions and care plans

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing staff and direct care providers

Coordinate referrals within CEC for specialty services and consultations

Participate in care coordination with internal clinicians to ensure continuity of care

Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations

Be available for occasional after-hours consultations or emergencies, as needed

Qualifications

Required:

MD or DO with current licensure in New York State

Board Certified in Neurology

Active DEA license

Experience or demonstrated ability to work with persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Valid malpractice coverage (provided by CEC for W-2 employees)

Preferred:

Experience in developmental, behavioral, or neurodevelopmental Neurology

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
