Director Analyst Agentic AI in Enterprise Networking

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director Analyst – Agentic AI in Enterprise Networking based in Ireland.

This is a senior thought leadership role focused on shaping how global enterprises understand, adopt, and evolve agentic AI within modern networking environments. You will analyze emerging technologies that combine artificial intelligence, automation, and enterprise networking to enable more autonomous, intelligent, and self-optimizing infrastructure. The role blends deep technical expertise with market foresight, producing high-impact research that guides CIOs, IT leaders, and vendors in strategic decision-making. You will regularly engage with senior executives, delivering insights through advisory sessions, conferences, and published research. Operating at the forefront of AI-driven networking evolution, you will help define best practices for autonomous network operations and infrastructure transformation. This is a highly influential role with global visibility and direct impact on how enterprise networking evolves in the age of agentic AI.

Accountabilities:
  • Conduct advanced research and analysis on agentic AI applications in enterprise networking, including autonomous remediation, intent-based networking, and AI-driven optimization.
  • Produce authoritative, evidence-based insights that help enterprise IT leaders and vendors understand emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in AI-enabled networking.
  • Track and interpret developments across networking, cloud, edge, and AI automation ecosystems to anticipate market shifts and technology evolution.
  • Deliver clear, executive-level advisory content through published research, presentations, and client-facing engagements.
  • Engage directly with CIOs, network leaders, and senior IT executives through briefings, conferences, and advisory interactions.
  • Present thought leadership at industry events, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business guidance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client engagement, research development, and market-facing content strategies.
  • Contribute to shaping research direction by identifying gaps, innovation opportunities, and emerging enterprise networking use cases.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise networking, network architecture, or AI-driven infrastructure environments.
  • Strong expertise in agentic AI concepts applied to networking, including automation, orchestration, and autonomous network operations.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise networking domains such as SD-WAN, SASE, SSE, NaaS, WAN architecture, and cloud-edge connectivity.
  • Familiarity with leading vendors and ecosystems, including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, HPE, and emerging AI-native networking startups.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, including Zero Trust architectures and identity-driven policies.
  • Experience analyzing technology adoption trends and translating technical complexity into strategic business insights.
  • Proven ability to communicate with executive audiences, including CIOs and senior IT leaders, with strong presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing capabilities with the ability to produce high-quality thought leadership content.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a relevant technical field is preferred.
