Closing Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Anne Arundel County, Maryland at Soar Autism Center

Position Summary: The Closing Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for ensuring smooth clinic closure while maintaining safety, security, and communication with families. This role fills the gap between the departure of clinicians and the end of clinic operations. The Closing RBT will handle closing duties, monitor lobby cameras, take messages from families, and respond to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee clinic closing procedures from 3:30-5:45 depending on clinic need.

• Take messages from families and relay them to appropriate staff.

• Complete all closing duties, including securing the clinic and ensuring all equipment is properly stored.

• Follow emergency response plans including handling emergency medication procedures, handling client or staff injuries, unidentified persons on-site, or combative parents

• Contact COD/MOD and then PC/CP in case of incidents.

Qualifications:

• RBT 3+ preferred (ramping centers may utilize other RBTs)

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and respond to emergency situations effectively.

• Must complete emergency response plan training.

Selection Process:

• Staff may be selected or chosen from a pool of volunteers based on qualifications.

• If no volunteers come forward, an assignment process will be implemented.

• A clear plan must be in place for clinics where no one is available to close.

Compensation:

• Compensation will be at the RBTs billable rate (utilizing specialist RBT code)

Scheduling:

• Rotating or standard group of clinics assigned Closing RBTs.
