We're looking for dependable cooks who take pride in their craft, work well under pressure, and enjoy being part of a professional team.Our kitchen operates using printed paper tickets rather than kitchen display screens, so cooks must be able to read and organize tickets efficiently, prioritize multiple orders, and communicate clearly with the expeditor, managers, and fellow kitchen staff.At PJ Lobster House, no one says, "That's not my job." Requirements: Minimum two years of commercial line cook experience preferred. Experience working the Fry, Grill, Sauté, or multiple stations preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant kitchen. Ability to read and accurately prepare orders from printed kitchen tickets. Ability to speak, read, and understand English sufficiently to communicate effectively with managers, expeditors, and fellow kitchen staff. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tickets while maintaining quality, consistency, and accuracy. Ability to accurately cook various cuts of steak, burgers, seafood, and other proteins to requested temperatures while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation. Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout every shift. Willingness to assist other stations and support the kitchen team whenever needed. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic. Ability to remain calm and productive during busy service periods. Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Authorized to work in the United States.
