The Opportunity:
The Key Partnerships Development Manager is responsible for engaging, managing, retaining and growing multiple partner relationships within their portfolio of partners to ensure consistent performance and profitability aligned to strategic goals. Act as a liaison between the partner and TrueCar, understand the needs of the partner and problem-solve. This position requires strong coordination with cross-functional teams, including the Product, Data, Marketing, and Business Operations teams.
How you will contribute to TrueCar’s success:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management, development and growth of existing partner relationships, including ensuring our partners have the necessary tools and information to be successful with their car-buying programs
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with partner senior leaders and decision-makers
- Identify and escalate opportunities for revenue growth, partner program expansion and strategic commercial development
- Develop and pitch partner growth strategies to generate buy-in from key partner decision makers
- Work cross functionally inside TrueCar with product, data engineering & analytics, legal and marketing to execute growth tactics
- Build dashboards and analyze data to make informed recommendations for improvements and optimizations to partner programs
- React and respond to partner requests, ensuring support is consistent with our service level agreements and managing any scope creep
- Prioritize requests from multiple partners and evaluate them based on the level of effort versus performance impact
- Work collaboratively across teams to advocate for partner success and drive partner opportunities by troubleshooting, reporting, documenting, and taking the initiative in problem-solving issues as they arise
- Demonstrate a high level of attentiveness towards partners and actively contribute to a culture that encourages high-quality service with a sense of urgency
- Develop trusting relationships and open communication, while accepting feedback (up and down)
Your Expertise:
- Demonstrated success in relationship management of strategic accounts and working at scale
- Tech-savvy with the ability to understand, interpret, and present data with a consultative approach
- The ability to grasp new concepts quickly with an open mind for change and a willingness to solve problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data, listen for understanding, and influence outcomes
- Proven track record of excellent client service
- Expertise in interfacing with client contacts at various levels
- Demonstrated ability to effectively present information, including complex technical content, and respond to client requirements/requests
- Ability to understand client standards and requirements pertaining to offered products, features, and capabilities
- Ability to communicate client requirements and methodologies to internal stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Ability to represent the company within an assigned book of business.
- Ability to utilize state-of-the-art office software and learn new software (i.e. Tableau, Asana, JIRA etc.)
- Self-starter with integrity, a strong work ethic, and a high level of energy.
- Experience in building strong relationships with clients and key internal stakeholders across organizational and departmental boundaries
- Ability to travel domestically by airplane or car, including overnight trips up to 20% of the time
Annual base salary: $100,000
