Job Description
Serve as a senior enterprise leader, not simply a department head.
• Operate in close alignment with the Chief Growth Officer to translate enterprise growth priorities into clear marketing strategy, execution plans, performance targets, and operating rhythms.
• Partner with the CEO, COO, CFO, CRO, legal, compliance, product, sales, events, programming, education, and customer experience leaders to ensure marketing strategy is fully integrated with business priorities.
• Translate marketing performance into executive-level insights, financial implications, and strategic recommendations.
• Help leadership make better decisions around growth investments, channel mix, audience development, product launches, media strategy, and brand risk.
• Participate in executive meetings with clear reporting, thoughtful analysis, and strong business judgment.
• Balance growth ambition with financial discipline, operational readiness, brand protection, and compliance awareness.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with executive leadership, ownership, agencies, and internal teams.
Key Success Measures
Success in this role will be measured by the leader’s ability to improve both near-term performance and long-term marketing capability.
- Ticket sales, lead generation, enrollment, and revenue contribution.
- ROAS, CAC, CPA, conversion rates, funnel efficiency, and contribution margin.
- Database activation, reactivation, segmentation, and monetization.
- Paid media performance and channel diversification.
- Creative testing velocity and campaign learning cycles.
- Brand sentiment, reputation strength, review performance, and ORM visibility.
- Social audience growth, engagement, reach, and content performance.
- Executive reporting quality and decision-useful marketing analytics.
- Successful execution of the marketing acceleration plan.
- Development of a credible owned media and media division roadmap.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a performance marketing leader who has successfully scaled direct response, paid media, or event-driven marketing models, but who also understands that long-term growth requires brand trust, reputation strength, audience ownership, and content authority.
This person should be:
• Highly analytical and fluent in marketing math.
• Strong in paid media, funnel economics, attribution, testing, and revenue accountability.
• Comfortable leading through ambiguity, urgency, and organizational growth.
• Experienced in brand positioning, social strategy, content development, and reputation management.
• Capable of building teams, managing agencies, and installing operating systems.
• Strong enough strategically to sit at the executive table, but practical enough to inspect campaign performance and execution details.
• Commercially minded, financially disciplined, and deeply accountable for business outcomes.
• Credible with founders, CEOs, CFOs, sales leaders, creative teams, agencies, and technical operators.
• Able to balance bold growth with compliance, brand protection, and reputational wisdom.
Required Experience
• 12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience in a senior leadership role.
• Significant experience leading performance marketing, paid media, demand generation, direct response, or revenue marketing.
• Proven track record managing meaningful marketing budgets and delivering measurable business growth.
• Experience leading cross-functional marketing teams and external agencies.
• Strong understanding of paid social, paid search, YouTube, landing pages, funnels, CRM/database marketing, email, analytics, and conversion optimization.
• Experience with brand marketing, creative strategy, messaging, social media, content, and reputation management.
• Ability to build executive dashboards, marketing scorecards, forecasts, and performance reports.
• Experience working in a fast-growth, entrepreneurial, event-driven, education, media, consumer, financial education, or direct-to-consumer business preferred.
• Experience building or scaling owned media, content platforms, podcasting, video, newsletters, or audience-based businesses strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in live events, education, publishing, media, financial education, online learning, coaching, or seminar-based sales models.
• Experience managing marketing in a regulated, reputation-sensitive, or compliance-conscious environment.
• Experience building an owned media ecosystem or media division.
• Experience leading marketing during a growth acceleration, transformation, restructuring, or rapid-scaling phase.
• Experience partnering closely with sales organizations and revenue teams.
• Experience building internal capabilities while also managing agency partners.
