Position Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist will be primarily responsible for coordinating and administering HR functions to include recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training/development and regulatory compliance.
Position Highlights:
- Starting Rate: $24.00 + per hour (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinates and manages full-cycle recruitment process to include posting job openings, reviewing/evaluating candidate employment applications, scheduling/coordinating interviews, and completing the required post-offer pre-employment screenings.
• Coordinates the placement of job ads; and engages outside search firms and contract agencies.
• Coordinates job fairs and recruitment events; represents the health system at recruitment and community events.
• Organizes and facilitates the orientation of new employees; ensures compliance with all new hire training.
• Analyzes data to include turnover and vacancy rates and provides recommendations to management.
• Provides recommendations for employment and recruitment strategies.
• Interprets and assists in administering the employee benefit and leave programs and policies (FMLA, ADA, PTO, Disability, Retirement, etc); assists with administering the worker’s compensation program and workplace safety initiatives. Assists in processing employee benefit information such as medical, dental, vision, etc.
• Assists employees with HR-related questions and/or concerns and resolves any issues in a timely manner; provides appropriate follow up with employees.
• Complies with federal, state and local reporting requirements. Prepares and files all appropriate personnel reports/data.
• Assists management with writing effective and accurate job descriptions.
• Maintains all personnel files; ensures accuracy of employee information in Meditech; enters and updates employee records. Processes all requests for employment verifications.
• Tracks and verifies all professional licensures/certifications through primary sources; ensure proper documentation is obtained prior to expiration.
• Provides timely notification and tracking of all performance evaluations.
• Provides consultation on human resource management issues to include: staffing, employee relations, performance management, dispute resolution, compliance and integrity, policy administration, benefits administration, training and providing guidance on company policies and procedures in compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
• Identifies issue and/or policy violations and recommends solutions to HR Manager.
• Accurately and consistently conveys, interprets and applies personnel policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three (3) years human resources generalist experience.
• Experience in benefits administration.
Preferred
• PHR/SPHR Certification
• Experience in healthcare setting
