Job Description
Shoe Station Group (NASDAQ: SHOE) seeks an Accountant, Cash Treasury & Reconciliation based at our Fort Mill, SC headquarters. The Accountant, Cash Treasury & Reconciliation manages bank reconciliations, daily cash operations, and sales audit for Shoe Station Group and oversees credit card settlement, escheatment and gift card accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Manage daily cash positioning
- Supervise Sales Audit associates that oversee credit card and other tender type reconciliation to in-store and ecommerce points of sale
- Manage gift card liability reconciliations and breakage
- Initiate documents with banking partners regarding the importation of merchandise
- Establish new bank accounts as necessary
- Post daily cash transactions including store deposits and other cash-related journal entries
- Research and resolve reconciling items and discrepancies
- Maintain escheatment records and compliance
- Support treasury with daily cash reporting
- Support treasury with annual insurance renewals and claims reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of accounting experience with treasury/cash focus
- Bank reconciliation experience
- Retail industry experience preferred
- Supervisory experience required
