Join an innovative digital organization that is transforming customer experiences through design, technology, and collaboration. This role offers the opportunity to shape and scale a comprehensive design system that supports multiple digital products across web and mobile platforms. Working within a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with product, engineering, and design leaders to influence strategic decisions while mentoring others and elevating design excellence across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a systems thinker who thrives on balancing creativity, usability, and long-term platform scalability.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the evolution and governance of the organization's design system, ensuring scalability, consistency, and accessibility across digital products.
  • Design and maintain reusable components, design tokens, interaction patterns, and documentation that support cross-functional product teams.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate design-to-code implementation across Web, iOS, and Android platforms.
  • Champion accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, embedding usability and WCAG considerations into all system components.
  • Conduct usability studies, gather insights, and leverage customer research, data, and business requirements to inform design decisions.
  • Drive adoption of the design system through education, stakeholder engagement, reviews, and community-building initiatives.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and leadership teams to align creative strategies with business objectives.
  • Mentor fellow designers, share best practices, and contribute to the growth of the broader design community.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or a related discipline, with significant exposure to design systems and scalable digital experiences.
  • Degree or formal education in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, design craftsmanship, and measurable business impact across complex products.
  • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining design systems, including components, tokens, governance models, and usage guidelines.
  • Expertise with design tools such as Figma and Miro, including prototyping, documentation, and usability testing.
  • Strong understanding of atomic design principles, component-based design, and multi-platform design frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure design quality and long-term maintainability.
  • Deep knowledge of accessibility standards, particularly WCAG AA, and experience designing inclusive digital products.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Experience within financial services, enterprise environments, or large-scale digital ecosystems is considered an asset.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.
  • Share ownership opportunities and pension matching programs.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits from day one.
  • Flexible hybrid work environment with opportunities to work from multiple office locations across Canada.
  • Access to extensive learning resources, professional development programs, and mentorship opportunities.
  • Collaborative and inclusive culture that encourages innovation, creativity, and career growth.
  • Team events, community engagement initiatives, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Exposure to high-impact projects that shape the future of digital customer experiences.
