Job Description
Join Our Growing Team!
Invest in yourself with a career at Triosim. Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We employ the industry's most knowledgeable and skilled workforce while providing ongoing training, mentorship, and learning opportunities to develop the next generation of specialists.
The Refiner Product Manager serves as Triosim's technical and commercial authority for high consistency refiners, connecting customers, field sales, and the Darlington site to drive profitable growth for the product line. Leveraging deep engineering and application expertise, this individual works directly alongside the sales team in the field to identify customer challenges, position Triosim's repair and rebuild capabilities, and win work that requires real technical credibility. Partnering closely with the Site Leader, the Product Manager supports quoting, shapes go-to-market strategy, and trains sales on how to sell the category effectively. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to customers, a technical coach to the sales organization, and a champion for the refiner product line's revenue and margin performance.
Essential Functions
-Serve as the recognized technical authority for the Refiner product category across the Triosim organization; maintain current, deep knowledge of the product's engineering principles, failure modes, repair and rebuild standards, competitive landscape, and customer application requirements.
-Work alongside the Triosim sales team in the field on a regular basis — the Product Manager adds value by being present in customer conversations where technical depth is required to differentiate Triosim and win the business.
-Develop and deliver training programs for the sales team on how to sell the assigned product category: what questions to ask, what customer problems to probe for, how to position Triosim's capabilities against competitors, and when and how to involve the Product Manager directly.
-Support the Site Leader in quoting product line work; bring technical specification knowledge and market pricing awareness to the quoting process to ensure that bids are accurate, competitive, and margin conscious.
-Collaborate with the Site Leader on go-to-market strategy for the product line: which customer segments to prioritize, which competitive accounts to pursue, how to position the product's value proposition, and what capabilities the shop needs to develop to win more work.
-Develop customer-facing technical content that supports the sales process: product presentations, capability overviews, case studies, and technical specifications that give the sales team tools to open doors and the Product Manager tools to close them.
-Maintain ongoing relationships with key customers and prospects in the product category; serve as a trusted technical advisor who customers call when they have a challenging application, an unusual failure, or a decision that requires someone who really knows the product.
-Stay current on industry trends, evolving customer requirements, and competitive developments within the product category; bring market intelligence back to the Site --Lead and the broader Triosim commercial organization on a regular basis.
-Support new customer onboarding for the product line; participate in early technical conversations, site visits, and capability demonstrations to establish Triosim's credibility and build the foundation for a long-term customer relationship.
-Identify and communicate product line capability gaps to the Site Leader; if Triosim cannot currently perform a certain type of repair or cannot perform it to the quality standard required, the Product Manager surfaces that gap and works with the site to develop a plan to address it.
-Support the inter-location capability network by identifying situations where another Triosim shop can perform product line work that the home location cannot — keeping the work inside the Triosim network rather than sending it to a third-party subcontractor.
-Participate in industry events, trade associations, and technical forums relevant to the product category; build Triosim's visibility and reputation in the market as a technically credible, trusted repair and rebuild partner.
-Provide the sales team with competitive win/loss feedback on product line opportunities; understand why Triosim wins and why it loses, and use that information to refine the commercial approach and sharpen the product's value proposition.
-Bring the voice of the customer to the Triosim business team to ensure alignment with current and future customer needs.
Requirements
-7+ years of experience with the assigned product category in a technical, commercial, or engineering capacity — deep product knowledge is the foundational requirement of this role.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences including plant engineers, maintenance managers, and purchasing decision-makers.
-Experience working alongside or within a sales organization; comfort in customer-facing commercial conversations, creating and delivering training, as well as the ability to serve as a credible technical counterpart to the sales team.
-Working knowledge and operation of high consistency refiners within the industrial markets Triosim serves: pulp and paper, mining, food processing, or comparable heavy industries.
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, OEM specifications, and repair standards relevant to the product category.
-Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage and align with multiple customer and internal relationships simultaneously while maintaining responsiveness and follow-through.
-Genuine technical passion for the product category; the Product Manager must care about the product capabilities to stay current and continuously seek to know more.
-Ability to seek and receive coaching feedback, adapt and respond to changes, and embrace learning opportunities to continuously improve performance.
-High level of personal ownership and accountability in driving outcomes and results through persistence, competitive spirit, and execution.
-Strong presence in the field; comfortable spending the majority of working time traveling and engaging with customers, and able to represent Triosim with professionalism and confidence in any customer environment.
-Collaborative partner to the Site Leader and the sales organization.
-Honest and direct communicator; surfaces market feedback, competitive threats, and capability gaps without filtering or delay.
