Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Mitigation & Restoration Superintendent to oversee daily field operations and support the successful completion of water, fire, mold, and other restoration projects. This role is responsible for coordinating mitigation activities, supporting field teams, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently while meeting Sasser Restoration’s expectations.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented field leader who takes pride in providing quality restoration services, follows established processes, and understands the importance of clear communication during stressful situations for customers. This individual should be reliable, organized, and committed to supporting their team while ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily mitigation and restoration operations from initial response through project completion.
Coordinate and support Mitigation Technicians and field team members to ensure work is completed according to company standards.
Review project scopes, work plans, and job requirements to ensure proper execution.
Perform regular job site inspections to verify safety, quality, cleanliness, and compliance with restoration procedures.
Ensure proper mitigation processes are followed, including water extraction, drying procedures, containment, demolition, and cleaning activities.
Monitor equipment placement, utilization, and documentation to support successful project outcomes.
Communicate project updates, challenges, and resource needs with Project Managers and leadership.
Provide guidance, coaching, and support to field team members while promoting accountability and teamwork.
Assist with troubleshooting job site challenges and developing practical solutions.
Ensure documentation is accurate and completed timely, including photos, moisture readings, equipment logs, and daily reports.
Maintain professional communication with customers while providing reassurance and confidence throughout the restoration process.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams as needed.
Ensure job sites are maintained in a safe, organized, and professional manner.
Follow all company policies, OSHA requirements, safety procedures, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in mitigation, restoration, construction, or related field operations.
Previous experience overseeing restoration crews or field teams preferred.
Strong knowledge of water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, and property restoration processes.
Ability to read and understand scopes of work, project documentation, and job requirements.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Ability to provide direction, support, and accountability to field team members.
Strong communication skills with customers, employees, subcontractors, and leadership.
Ability to identify issues, prioritize tasks, and implement effective solutions.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency response environment.
Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
IICRC certifications including WRT, ASD, AMRT, or related certifications.
Experience with insurance restoration processes.
OSHA certifications.
Experience with restoration documentation and project management systems.
Previous experience managing mitigation crews and large-loss projects.
