Cambridge Health Alliance's Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a nationally recognized model of care that serves adults aged 55 and older living with chronic medical and/or mental health challenges.
At CHA PACE, our mission is to support our program participants in achieving the highest level of independence within their communities and preventing nursing home placement. Our high-functioning interdisciplinary team supports this goal by providing fully integrated medical and behavioral health services, community resources, and home-based care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Job Summary: Responsible for all aspects of PACE (the Elder Service Plan), a Program of All-inclusive Care for 700+ elderly participants. This includes the planning, organizing, development, operations and compliance of all services consistent with CMS guidelines. Responsible for the administrative, professional, clinical, financial and other programmatic aspects of this PACE program to ensure safe, effective and efficient services that support the respect and independence of its elderly participants. Manages and directs contracting for program with revenues in excess of $78 million annually and associated expenses under a capitated model of care. Responsible for all staff of the PACE program, over 160 FTE. Directly supervises Director of Nursing, Director of Operations, Director of Compliance and Director of Safety, Marketing and Enrollment Manager, and partners with the Medical Director. In addition, supervises staff at multiple locations within the service area. Serves as the liaison with contracted/agency provided staff, including finance, human resources and purchasing.
• Responsible for strategic planning with regard to PACE program services, and in providing the ESP Executive Committee with demographic, financial and other trends that impact service delivery, quality and expansion. Influences and guides the vision of the organization• Keeps up-to-date on national and local trends impacting care delivery for older adults• Ensures the continued collaborative relationship between the CHA and CMS for the benefit of the PACE program.• Serves as liaison with state and federal regulatory agencies to negotiate as needed and represents the interests of the PACE program.• Ensures the accurate and timely management of the financial operations of the PACE program. Responsible for management of capitation and all related expenses
Job Requirements:
Education/Training: Graduate of accredited College/University with BS/BA required; Masters Degree in Health Administration or equivalent preferred. Equivalent, relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years significant progressively responsible experience in health care with managed care and geriatric service delivery preferred, with at least 3 years management experience required. Prior direct care experience with seniors is preferred. Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities to facilitate effective and efficient operations and support effective relationships with external agencies and organizations to ensure success.
Skills: Demonstrated financial management skills; good community relationships, and public speaking skills strongly preferred.
