Position SUMMARY
Our Baristas work in Molly’s Café, located inside The Sanctuary, our full-service spa. The café offers a variety of coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, and light food options, and plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for members and guests as they enter the amenity. This role is responsible for preparing beverages and grab-and-go food items according to established recipes and standards. As a guest-facing position, it requires strong customer service skills and the ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs promptly and genuinely while adhering to all Food & Beverage guidelines. The Barista is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of Molly’s Café.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Adhere to all food, health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance in accordance with F&B grooming standards.
- Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Provide members with a warm, sincere greeting and farewell, using their names when appropriate.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs while upholding Food & Beverage service standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Accurately take and serve orders, maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Prepare beverages according to established recipes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Remain present and attentive in Molly’s Café to ensure prompt guest service.
- Set up and maintain Molly’s Café daily in accordance with established standards.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate par levels for beverages, supplies, and disposables.
- Input orders into the POS system and ensure accurate check creation for all items served.
- Follow all opening, closing, and requisition procedures for the Barista position.
- Comply with all TABC, state, and county alcohol service laws; verify guest identification as required.
- Communicate maintenance or repair needs to the F&B Manager promptly.
- Maintain high levels of professionalism and hospitality with guests and team members.
- Support positive communication and effective conflict resolution with coworkers.
- Manage member concerns professionally and escalate issues to F&B leadership when necessary.
- Exercise sound judgment, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities as needed.
- Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Assist with setup, breakdown, and service for major club events and functions as needed.
- Attend all relevant operational meetings.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Minimum 1 year of Barista experience.
· Prior Food & Beverage experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus
· Good organizational skills and the ability to work well independently, attention to quality and detail.
· Enjoy working with Members, guests, and children.
· Requires excellent oral and written communications skills.
· Service oriented style with professional presentations skills.
· Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.
APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:
Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.

Soliciting gratuities from members or guests is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Gratuities include items such as cash, favors, gifts, tickets to events and other forms of non-financial compensation. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
· Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.
· Must have a valid Food Handler’s Certificate, or obtain one prior to the start date.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. The employee may be working outside or inside and in different types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain and sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Likely this role will require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.
