The Content Strategy & Distribution Manager is responsible for leading digital content strategy, social media management, and content distribution across all PRCA platforms. This role develops and executes comprehensive digital strategies that drive audience growth, increase fan engagement, strengthen the PRCA brand, and support revenue-generating initiatives.
Working closely with PRORODEO Partnerships, PRCA stakeholders, athletes, sponsors, and content production teams, this position oversees the publishing, promotion, optimization, and performance of content across social media, web, and email channels. The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller, content strategist, and social media leader with a strong understanding of digital trends, audience development, and platform best practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Digital Content Strategy & Distribution
- Develop and execute an integrated content distribution strategy across all digital platforms.
- Manage publishing calendars and platform-specific content strategies for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and emerging channels.
- Collaborate with Learfield content producers and PRCA stakeholders to effectively distribute original, branded, NIL, and partner content.
- Optimize content for each platform to maximize audience reach, engagement, and growth.
- Identify opportunities to increase fan engagement, drive viewership, and support revenue-generating initiatives through digital content.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, branding, and audience experience across all digital channels.
Social Media Management
- Lead the day-to-day management and growth of PRCA's social media presence.
- Establish and maintain a consistent brand voice across all social platforms.
- Manage sponsor-related social media deliverables and ensure contractual obligations are executed accurately and on schedule.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns, promotions, contests, and fan engagement initiatives.
- Manage paid social advertising campaigns, audience targeting strategies, and content boosting efforts.
- Monitor industry trends, platform updates, and emerging best practices to continuously enhance content performance.
Content Production & Creative Development
- Partner with internal teams to develop innovative, engaging, and original content that drives fan engagement and demand for rodeo content.
- Create, produce, shoot, and edit video content for social media, websites, digital publications, and other marketing channels.
- Coordinate with sponsors, partners, rodeos, and media organizations to provide promotional assets supporting live events, ticket sales campaigns, and other initiatives.
- Moderate user-generated content and actively engage with fans and followers in a timely, professional manner.
- Travel to select rodeos and events to capture live content, conduct athlete and member interviews, and produce real-time storytelling.
- Collaborate with PRCA stakeholders, athletes, sponsors, and content teams to develop custom content that authentically integrates partner messaging.
- Identify emerging storytelling opportunities and proactively create content that supports audience engagement, brand awareness, partner objectives, and revenue growth.
The approximate national base pay range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. Please note that this is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation based on individual and company performance. Placement on the range may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and geographic location. The pay rate will comply with all minimum federal, state, and local wage/salary requirements.
