Position Summary

Ergotron is seeking a strategic, market-driven Vice President of Product Management to lead product strategy, portfolio management, and roadmap execution across the business. This highly visible leader will translate customer insights, market opportunities, and competitive intelligence into differentiated solutions that drive growth, profitability, and market share.

Position Responsibilities:

Market Insights & Customer Focus

  • Serve as the organization’s market insights leader, translating customer research, competitive assessments, industry trends, and market opportunities into actionable product direction.
  • Evolve and lead a disciplined Voice of Customer (VOC) program that systematically captures, synthesizes, and activates customer and end-user insights across segments and verticals.
  • Drive market segmentation, sizing, and opportunity assessment to prioritize growth opportunities and guide product investment decisions.

Product Strategy, Roadmap & Lifecycle Management

  • Define and lead the product and solution strategy, translating customer needs, market opportunities, competitive insights, and business objectives into a clear portfolio vision and investment roadmap.
  • Own product roadmap and portfolio management across the full product lifecycle, including business case development, pricing strategy, new product introduction, stage-gate governance, portfolio optimization, product performance management, and end-of-life decisions.
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure product investments and roadmap execution align with technical feasibility, resource capacity, quality standards, and speed-to-market objectives.
  • Establish performance metrics and accountability processes to evaluate product success, using customer feedback, market insights, and financial results to drive continuous optimization.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to support successful product launches, commercial readiness, sales enablement, forecasting, and investment decisions.
  • Communicate product strategy, portfolio performance, investment priorities, and roadmap progress to executive leadership, the Board and commercial teams.

Leadership, Team Development & Culture

  • Build and lead a high-performing Product Management organization focused on market insight, commercial impact, accountability, and innovation.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top product talent through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and career development.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, curiosity, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.

Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred; advanced degree a plus.
  • 15+ years of progressive product management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a commercially driven organization.
  • Proven success building and leading high-performing product organizations, with a track record of delivering growth through market-driven product strategy, innovation, and portfolio management.
  • Deep expertise in customer insights, market analysis, competitive intelligence, and product strategy, with the ability to translate market opportunities into profitable product investments and roadmaps.
  • Experience leading product management within a medical device, healthcare technology, or healthcare capital equipment organization is strongly preferred.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including business case development, pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, and product lifecycle management.
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and change leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational transformation.
  • Strategic, data-driven leader with a bias for execution and delivering measurable business results.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%; valid driver's license and passport required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce and product management tools preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
