Construction Superintendent
Spyder builds and restores commercial, multifamily, and HOA properties across Colorado, and the Superintendent is the person who makes the plan real on the ground. You run the site day to day: the schedule, the subcontractors, the safety, the quality, and the documentation that proves it was all done right. When a job is delivered on time and the records hold up under any scrutiny, that is your work.
What You Will Own
• Build and manage the 3-week Look Ahead Schedule with the Project Manager and Foreman, keeping every trade sequenced so work moves without collisions.
• Produce accurate Daily Site Reports, submittals, track RFIs, and maintain complete project documentation in Dropbox. Nothing missing, nothing guessed.
• Run project walks and inspections at every milestone (Pre-Punch, Demo, Rough, Pre-Drywall and Paint, Final Punch, Closeout) and drive the resulting action items to completion.
• Own the punch list from first entry to final resolution, holding the line on quality and workmanship.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and field labor so the work stays safe, code-compliant, on schedule, and built right the first time.
• Perform daily site safety inspections and keep safety documentation current and defensible.
What You Bring
Must-haves:
• 3 to 5 years of construction experience running or directly supporting field operations.
• Working command of construction methods and local, state, and federal building codes.
• A proven habit of precise documentation: daily reports, schedules, RFIs, punch lists, and inspection records that stand up on their own.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
Nice-to-haves:
• Experience running multiple projects or complex scopes at the same time.
• A track record of holding subs and field crews to a consistent standard.
• Clear written and verbal communication that keeps clients and teams aligned.
If loose documentation and "close enough" scheduling are how you operate, this is not the seat for you. This role rewards people who treat accuracy and follow-through as the job, not the paperwork around it.
The Work Itself
This is a field role on active job sites. Expect to be on your feet, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in varying weather. Regular travel between job sites across Colorado is required. You are the on-site point of contact, so daily presence and reliability are non-negotiable.
Why Spyder
We are authentic, disciplined, and gritty, and we deliver every time. On our sites that shows up as ownership: you start it, finish it, and own it, without waiting to be chased. It shows up as consistency: clients and crews know exactly what to expect from you, every day, on every walk. We build real relationships with the trades and clients we work alongside, the kind that hold up when a job gets hard. And we keep growing, because the people who thrive here are the ones who sharpen their craft with every project instead of coasting on what they already know.
Compensation and Benefits
