Role: Quality Assurance Technician/Inspector

FLSA: Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to ensure our precast concrete wall systems consistently meet the high standards established by Superior Walls of America. In this role, you will partner with production, engineering, drafting, and leadership teams to maintain product quality, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all products meet the quality standards and specifications established by Superior Walls of America, Ltd.
  • Collaborate closely with production, drafting, engineering, and management teams to identify and resolve quality concerns while promoting continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation in accordance with the Superior Walls Quality Assurance Manual.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance meetings to review documentation, testing results, inspection reports, quality trends, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and support inspections, audits, and compliance activities.
  • Investigate quality issues, determine root cause, evaluate impact, and develop and implement effective corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Verify that all incoming materials meet required specifications and quality standards before use in production.
  • Conduct in-process inspections throughout manufacturing to ensure products remain compliant at every stage of production.
  • Perform final quality inspections and verify products meet all specifications prior to shipment.
  • Confirm concrete has achieved the required strength before forms are stripped, ensuring product integrity and safety.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, quality systems, and operational efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, fabrication, or a related industrial environment; precast concrete or construction manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong working knowledge of precision measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, levels, squares, and other inspection equipment) and quality inspection techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable maintaining quality documentation and inspection records. Experience with ERP or quality management systems is a plus.
