Job Description
Virginia Community Healthcare Association is looking for a Talented Physician to join the team in Louisa County, VA. Here's a chance to do good work, support great communities, and help patients that matter. You’ll serve patients of all backgrounds while working alongside a team committed to improving health outcomes across Northern Virginia. This role is paying between $205,000-215,000 annually.
What You’ll Do
Deliver Whole-Person Primary Care: Examine, diagnose, and treat patients across all life stages—managing acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and routine preventive care.
Lead a Team-Based Practice: Partner with and mentor clinical staff, fostering a collaborative, patient-centered medical home environment where every team member is valued.
Engage the Community: Participate in preventive health programs (like immunizations and disease detection) and offer health consultations to local community groups.
Maintain Excellence & Growth: Stay active in continuing medical education, engage in peer reviews and quality improvement initiatives, and help keep our practice standards high.
Collaborate & Consult: Connect with senior physicians for complex cases and refer patients to trusted specialists whenever necessary.
Keep Things Running Smoothly: Ensure accurate, timely documentation and billing in our EHR, adhere to security protocols, and take part in on-call rotations shared across our provider team.
What You’ll Need
Medical Licensure & Credentials: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school with an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia.
Certifications: Board certification (or eligibility) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics, plus current DEA registration.
Heart for Community Health: A genuine passion for FQHC operations, health equity, and caring for diverse, underserved populations.
Team Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to lead, support, and uplift interdisciplinary care teams.
This role is part of a broader effort to strengthen access to high-quality primary care across Virginia. Our approach is simple: support providers, build strong care teams, and ensure communities have access to the care they deserve. If this ignites your heart-mission then reach out to our Sr. Recruiter, Tyler, for a 10 minute intro call. 804.750.0456 or tylerbrown@vcha.org
