Payroll Specialist in Woodinville, Washington at HTI Polymer Inc

Job Summary

This role is positioned to ensure timely and accurate payment of wages to all employees of the Company through partnership with all departments, outside vendors and federal and local governments for proper tax compliance. Additional responsibilities include time reporting, payroll process, certified payroll, labor union compliance, and ad-hoc reporting projects.

• Process labor hours entered by employees, facilitate management review, and enter into accounting systems for payroll distribution
• Process payroll for weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc bonus, commission (as needed)
• Process APC payroll, taxes, and garnishments weekly
• Maintain, record and process payroll garnishments
• Reconciliation of payroll related general ledger accounts including, but not limited to: FUTA, FWH, FICA, SWH, UI/SDI
• Accrued wages and PTO
• Own and maintain licenses, certification, filings, and relationships with labor unions.
• Ongoing maintenance of prevailing wage requirements for jobsite locations in accounting software
• Partnership with Controller and Project Managers on maintenance of labor rates for project estimates
• Special projects such as commission reports, labor bonuses, and other duties as assigned

Requirements, Qualifications, & Skills

• 5 years’ payroll construction experience required.
• Experience with Unions and prevailing wages required.
• Experience with Paylocity required.
• Experience working in SAGE highly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
• Must be proficient user of Microsoft suite of programs: Word, Excel.
• Excellent relationship management skills.
• Excel at operating in a fast paced, changing environment.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States. HTI uses E-Verify.
