Pay: $115,000 to $120,000 annually

Midwest Precision is a CNC manufacturer serving the aerospace, defense, energy, and fluid-power industries. We manufacture complex, close-tolerance components where quality, traceability, and reliable delivery matter.

We are seeking a hands-on Production Manager who can lead people, manage daily execution, and improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. Experience with CNC machining would be especially valuable in this role.

• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, leads, and employees

• Direct daily production activities to meet schedules and customer commitments

• Set clear expectations for output, quality, safety, attendance, and accountability

• Monitor labor utilization, capacity, machine performance, downtime, scrap, and rework

• Identify production risks early and resolve issues that affect workflow or delivery

• Partner with Supply Chain on priorities and production schedules

• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to address process, equipment, and product issues

• Ensure employees follow approved work instructions, job travelers, and quality requirements

• Review production metrics and take action to improve performance

• Support staffing, training, performance management, and employee development in partnership with Human Resources

• Drive continuous improvement in setup times, throughput, workflow, and operational consistency

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with AS9100, customer, and internal requirements

• At least five years of manufacturing leadership experience, including three years in a supervisory or management role

• Experience managing production schedules, teams, and performance in a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of production planning, workflow, capacity, and manufacturing metrics

• Ability to coach supervisors and employees while holding teams accountable for results

• Experience improving safety, quality, delivery, and productivity

• Strong communication, decision-making, and practical problem-solving skills

• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office

A bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.

CNC machining experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience with milling or turning operations, setup processes, tooling, cycle times, and shop floor troubleshooting. Experience in aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment is also preferred.

This position may involve access to export-controlled information. The selected candidate must be eligible for access in accordance with applicable export-control requirements.
