As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll build full-stack systems that help transform primary care and improve patient outcomes.
You’ll work closely with clinicians, operators, product managers, and other stakeholders to turn complex healthcare challenges into practical technology.
The role offers significant ownership, from understanding the underlying problem through technical design, implementation, and measuring results.
You’ll contribute to AI-enabled products and help shape how AI and agent-based systems are incorporated into everyday software development.
You’ll work across complex and distributed systems while balancing scalability, reliability, quality, and speed of iteration.
This is a collaborative, remote-first environment where engineers are expected to engage directly with users and influence both product and technical direction.

• Build and improve full-stack systems that simplify complex healthcare workflows and enhance the effectiveness of clinical teams.

• Understand the business and user context behind technical work, connecting engineering decisions to measurable outcomes and patient or stakeholder needs.

• Own projects end-to-end, from understanding the problem and defining a solution through implementation, delivery, and measuring results.

• Make informed technical and product decisions independently while collaborating with product managers, clinicians, operators, and other stakeholders.

• Design, build, refactor, and maintain scalable systems, including complex and distributed architectures.

• Incorporate AI and agent-based technologies into both engineering workflows and the products being developed.

• Help establish and maintain development practices that support rapid iteration, reliability, testing, documentation, and high-quality delivery.

• Engage directly with users and internal stakeholders to identify needs, validate solutions, and shape product improvements.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and identify practical opportunities to apply new tools to technical and business challenges.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with proficiency in one or more commonly used programming languages.

• Experience working with databases and modern web frontend technologies.

• Strong understanding of building, maintaining, and scaling complex software systems, including distributed systems.

• Practical experience using or building AI-powered systems, with an interest in AI agents as collaborators within software development and product experiences.

• Ability to work comfortably across different technical systems, layers, and areas of responsibility.

• Strong engineering judgment, with a mature and rigorous approach to scalability, reliability, testing, and maintainability.

• Ability to understand the "why" behind a project and connect technical decisions to business, user, and operational outcomes.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working directly with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ability to take ownership, operate independently, and make thoughtful decisions in an evolving environment.

• Willingness to work across multiple potential teams or product areas depending on experience and organizational needs.

• Competitive base salary with a Canadian range of $134,000–$175,000 CAD.
