Job Title: Quality Administrative Assistant

Department: Admin

Location: Salisbury

FLSA Status/Group Level: Non-Exempt/Group 1

Reports To: Quality Manager

Shift: 11AM-7PM ( Must be able to train on first shift 7AM-3PM for 2 months)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist the Quality department in daily clerical, and specialized functions. Offer support for special projects throughout the mill.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain site tooling and equipment calibration & keep information in GageTrak software up-to-date and in compliance with AS9100 requirements and QMS.
  • Coordinate 3rd party calibration services for on-site visits or manage sending out tooling for off-site repair or calibration.
  • Answer incoming calls.
  • Compile and launch shop order packets. Download orders from Axiom, align part number to purchase order & order acknowledgment. Build order file and launch document workflow for contract review.
  • Assist with quality audits.
  • Manage the daily inputs/outputs in quality management database (QCBD). Define training links and definitions, launch document change control process and trigger training of process and quality (controlled) documents.
  • Record QA, document training in QCBD.
  • Maintain vendors in the QMS system. Ensure that vendors supply necessary documentation to remain on the approved vendor list.
  • Oversee document revision controls. Assist with implementation of new or changed documents.
  • Provide support with vendor and audit corrective actions.
  • Maintain the standards and specification files
  • Provide clerical support for the site as needed. Filing document functions and supporting site record retention including warehousing of document storage.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as assigned.
  • Lab backfills (TYE, Hardness, Roughness Averages, Corrosions)

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS and EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School degree required; Associate degree preferred.
  • experience of 2 - 3 years preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
  • Intermediate to advanced-level proficiency using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and other business applications.
