Job Title: Learning, Development & Culture Manager

Class: Full-Time

Reports to: Chief Human Resources Officer

Location: Schlitz Park - Onsite Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Summary:

The Learning, Development & Culture Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing programs that strengthen employee development, leadership effectiveness, organizational culture, engagement, and performance across the Milwaukee Bucks organization, including Fiserv Forum, Wisconsin Herd, and related business entities.


This role will lead learning and development initiatives, oversee leadership and professional development programs, support the organization's performance management processes, and partner with leaders to foster a high-performing, inclusive, and values-driven culture. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and relationship builder who is passionate about helping individuals, teams, and organizations grow and perform at their best.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the organization's learning and development strategy.
  • Manage and enhance Antler Academy and other employee and leadership development programs.
  • Partner with leaders to identify organizational, team, and individual development needs and implement solutions.
  • Design and facilitate training programs, workshops, and learning experiences focused on leadership, communication, collaboration, performance, and professional growth.
  • Develop learning pathways and career development opportunities that support employee growth, advancement, and internal mobility.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
  • Lead and continuously improve the organization's performance management philosophy, programs, tools, and processes.
  • Train on goal setting, performance coaching, feedback, development planning, and performance evaluation practices.
  • Partner with leaders to build a culture of accountability, continuous feedback, recognition, and high performance.
  • Lead culture and employee engagement initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness and the employee experience.
  • Partner with Employee Resource Groups and leaders to support inclusion, belonging, and culture-building efforts.
  • Analyze employee engagement, performance, and development data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and administer employee surveys, focus groups, assessments, and action-planning processes.
  • Support organizational change management and strategic people initiatives.
  • Manage external vendors, consultants, training partners, and learning platforms as needed.
  • Measure the effectiveness and impact of learning, development, culture, engagement, and performance management initiatives and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices related to leadership development, organizational effectiveness, performance management, learning, and culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in learning and development, organizational development, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and facilitating leadership and professional development programs.
  • Experience leading or supporting performance management programs and processes.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, leadership development, and performance management best practices.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, consulting, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience leading culture, engagement, organizational effectiveness, or change management initiatives.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience interpreting employee feedback and organizational data and translating insights into actionable programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Professional certifications in coaching, organizational development, talent management, learning and development, or related disciplines are preferred.
