Job Description
The Door Warehouse Employee is responsible for receiving, storing, staging, and distributing door and building materials in support of customer orders and delivery schedules. This role supports warehouse operations by ensuring order accuracy, maintaining inventory, and providing a safe, organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Receive incoming materials and properly store them in designated warehouse locations
- Pick, pull, and stage materials for customer orders, deliveries, and transfers
- Assemble and prepare customer orders for pickup or shipment
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Verify order accuracy and scan work orders for errors (e.g., incorrect materials)
- Label materials using company identification methods
- Communicate with supervisors or sales staff regarding order issues or materials that cannot be fulfilled
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Maintain inventory accuracy using scanners and assist with inventory counts
- Monitor stock levels and notify management when replenishment is needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment (keeping aisles clear, materials properly stored, sweeping, etc.)
- Follow all company safety policies and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support team members and contribute to completing daily warehouse operations efficiently
- Deliver a positive internal and external customer experience
- Ability to read and understand work orders and warehouse documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills and/or RF scanner experience preferred
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required
- Experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations preferred (training provided)
- Knowledge of doors, frames, hardware, or building materials is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Reliable and dependable with strong teamwork skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50–100 lbs. regularly
- Capability to handle oversized materials with assistance when required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Ability to work in varying weather or warehouse conditions

- Ability to pass pre-employment screening (e.g., physical, lift test, drug screening as applicable)
