Responsibilities

Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of financial planning processes and tools to enhance the client and advisor experience.

Participate in client meetings and review calls (includes travel to other Univest/Girard locations).

Help Wealth Advisors obtain planning data and supporting documentation from clients.

Assist clients in completing data gathering requests and questionnaires.

Enter and evaluate client data into financial planning software. Prepare and model customized plans for clients of varying levels of income and based upon client specific circumstances and identified planning goals and priorities.

Coordinate planning-related tasks between clients, advisors, and internal team members.

Work with planning team to create content related to comprehensive financial planning for distribution to team members and clients.

Work with planning team to help identify cross-selling opportunities amongst Univest and Girard.

Stay up to date on current trends, industry regulations and offerings for the financial planning market.

Attend monthly Girard team meetings to update on financial planning initiatives.

Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s investment selection criteria and process and attain in-depth knowledge of the investments used.

Develop the ability to explain the firm’s investment philosophy and educate clients on how the team manages a client’s wealth.

Participate in and contribute to advisor meetings and training initiatives.

Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.

Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in financial planning, relevant field, or equivalent work experience.

CFP or strong desire to obtain the Certified Financial Planner designation.

Strong interest in comprehensive financial planning.

Experience using eMoney Advisor.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with all individuals within the wealth organization to achieve common goals.

Strong attention to detail.

Solid organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency with PC applications including MS Office, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint, and Salesforce.

Preferred Experience:

0-3 years of experience with financial planning.

Internship or professional experience within a financial planning, wealth management, RIA, or financial advisory firm.

Experience preparing financial plans or planning analyses.

Wage Range:

The salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $80,000
