Job Description

Events Marketing Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Events Marketing Manager based in the United States.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on role responsible for building and executing an impactful events strategy across North America.
You’ll identify the conferences and industry events that matter most, then manage them from planning through post-event analysis.
The role combines event operations, field marketing, sales partnership, vendor management, and pipeline generation.
You’ll work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to turn event participation into qualified meetings and revenue opportunities.
You’ll also manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, coordinate logistics, and ensure every event delivers against clearly defined KPIs.
The environment is fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly autonomous, with significant visibility across the organization.
This opportunity is ideal for an organized marketer who enjoys being on the ground, solving problems quickly, and connecting event activity directly to business growth.

Accountabilities
  • Event Strategy & Planning: Research, evaluate, and prioritize tradeshows, conferences, and industry events aligned with target audiences and revenue objectives, while maintaining a rolling 12-month events calendar.

  • Vendor & Contract Management: Build relationships with event organizers, venues, and suppliers; negotiate sponsorships, booth space, speaking opportunities, and event services to maximize value.

  • End-to-End Event Execution: Own event logistics from planning through completion, including booth design and shipping, promotional materials, lead capture, AV, catering, hotel blocks, travel arrangements, setup, and teardown.

  • On-Site Leadership: Serve as the primary on-site contact, troubleshoot issues in real time, coordinate internal teams, and ensure a professional and consistent event presence.

  • Sales Enablement & Pipeline Generation: Partner with sales to identify target accounts, schedule meetings before events, coordinate customer dinners and onsite engagements, and ensure leads are captured, qualified, and followed up promptly.

  • Campaign Execution: Collaborate with marketing on email campaigns, landing pages, paid promotion, social content, and other pre- and post-event activities designed to increase attendance, engagement, and meeting generation.

  • Team Preparation: Brief participating team members on event objectives, messaging, target accounts, schedules, responsibilities, and logistics.

  • Budget Management: Own event spending across the calendar, track costs, forecast accurately, identify risks, and make informed trade-offs when priorities or budgets change.

  • Performance Measurement: Establish event-specific KPIs covering leads, meetings, pipeline, and ROI, and deliver post-event reporting with actionable recommendations for future programs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure events support broader commercial and brand objectives.

Requirements
  • Experience: 1–4 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, event coordination, or a related discipline, preferably within B2B technology or SaaS.

  • Event Management: Demonstrated experience organizing events from planning through execution and post-event analysis, with examples of measurable outcomes.

  • Budgeting: Experience managing event budgets, forecasting spend, tracking costs, and making decisions designed to maximize return on investment.

  • Analytics: Ability to establish KPIs and create reports that connect event activity with meetings, pipeline, revenue, and overall business impact.

  • AI Fluency: Demonstrated experience using AI tools or workflows to improve event marketing activities such as research, vendor outreach, content creation, lead enrichment, reporting, or process automation.

  • CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with HubSpot or a comparable CRM platform for managing event-related activity and opportunities.

  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate timelines, budgets, vendors, logistics, and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Negotiation: Comfortable negotiating with event organizers, vendors, venues, and other external partners.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief executives, coordinate internal teams, and engage confidently with prospects.

  • Problem Solving: Calm and resourceful under pressure, with the ability to troubleshoot unexpected issues quickly during live events.

  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–50% during peak event seasons across North America, with potential international travel as the events program expands.

  • Location: Candidates should be based in the United States or Canada and live within approximately one hour of a major airport hub with strong direct-flight connectivity.

  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the country of residence; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with event platforms such as Cvent, Splash, Bizzabo, or Goldcast; experience with international events or vendors; and experience in B2B SaaS or another fast-moving technology environment.

Benefits
  • Salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year.

  • Performance: Performance-based bonus opportunities.

  • Work Model: Fully remote position.

  • Paid Time Off: Paid time off to support sustainable work and personal time.

  • Professional Development: Access to software and resources designed to support upskilling and productivity.

  • Autonomy: High ownership and autonomy in a visible, business-critical function.

  • Growth: Opportunities for accelerated career progression and leadership responsibilities based on performance.

  • Leadership Access: Direct exposure to and collaboration with the founding team.

  • Visibility: A high-impact role with the opportunity to build and own a significant events marketing portfolio.

  • Travel: Opportunity to attend major industry events across North America, with potential international travel as the program expands.
