Senior Account Executive - Healthcare Advertising

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Account Executive - Healthcare Advertising based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to help shape impactful healthcare advertising programs across medical devices, diagnostics, and specialty pharmaceuticals. You’ll build trusted client relationships while translating business and audience needs into compelling marketing strategies. Working closely with account, creative, planning, and media teams, you’ll help bring integrated communications programs to life. The position combines strategic thinking with hands-on account leadership, giving you visibility across both big-picture objectives and executional details. You’ll contribute to client presentations, budgets, team development, and tactical delivery while maintaining a strong focus on quality. Accountabilities:
  • Build and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with clients, acting as a trusted partner and ensuring their objectives are clearly understood and supported.
  • Present, communicate, and defend strategic and tactical recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute significantly to the development of marketing strategies, communications plans, and media plans aligned with client goals and target audiences.
  • Collaborate across account service, creative, planning, media, and other internal functions to ensure effective and coordinated program delivery.
  • Support and guide Account Executives by establishing clear goals, providing feedback, and helping maintain strong execution standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of job budgets, review internal budgets, and support appropriate allocation of team resources and hours.
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients’ broader business objectives, initiatives, and target patient or healthcare professional audiences while maintaining attention to executional detail.
  • Ensure marketing tactics are strategically aligned and executed effectively, accurately, and to a high standard.
  • Represent the account team with senior agency leadership and contribute insights that strengthen strategic and creative outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in healthcare marketing or advertising agency environments.
  • Experience working with healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics, or related audiences is valuable.
  • Launch experience is preferred.
  • Strong client relationship management and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate recommendations confidently and persuasively.
  • Ability to connect strategic objectives with detailed execution while maintaining an understanding of the broader business context.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective partnerships across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments where priorities can evolve.
  • Commercial awareness, sound judgment, and a willingness to take ownership and move projects forward.
  • A curious, improvement-oriented mindset with the confidence to contribute ideas and differentiated perspectives.

  • Salary range of $65,000–$92,000 USD, with actual compensation determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
