Analista Mainframe Snior

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analista Mainframe Sênior based in Brazil.

This role is designed for an experienced Mainframe professional working on the development, maintenance, and evolution of critical enterprise applications.
You will work extensively with COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2 z/OS, VSAM, and Batch processing in a collaborative technical environment.
The position combines hands-on development with production support, technical troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
You will contribute to application stability, quality, and performance while helping translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
The role also offers exposure to Agile ways of working and collaboration with both technical and business teams.
Your expertise will be important in maintaining established systems while supporting their ongoing evolution.
This is a remote opportunity for a senior professional who enjoys complex Mainframe environments and structured problem-solving.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance systems and applications within Mainframe environments.
  • Analyze, develop, maintain, and provide support for COBOL-based applications.
  • Develop and maintain online processing routines using CICS.
  • Develop and execute Batch processing workflows using JCL.
  • Perform queries, updates, and maintenance activities on DB2 z/OS databases.
  • Work with VSAM files and related Mainframe data structures.
  • Monitor and follow up on scheduled processes using Control-M.
  • Work with the B2k system, particularly the Monetário module.
  • Participate actively in Agile development and delivery teams.
  • Analyze technical issues and contribute to their structured resolution.
  • Provide technical support for application-related incidents and problems.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into solutions.
  • Contribute to the quality, stability, reliability, and continuous evolution of applications.
  • Support the investigation of complex technical problems across development and production environments.
  • Document technical changes, solutions, procedures, and relevant operational information.
  • Follow established development and maintenance standards to ensure consistent and maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to share technical knowledge and improve team practices.
Requirements:
  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience in Software Engineering.
  • Solid professional experience working with Mainframe environments and/or COBOL-based technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with COBOL.
  • Experience developing online applications using CICS.
  • Experience with Batch processing and JCL.
  • Practical knowledge of TSO.
  • Experience working with B2k, particularly the Monetário module.
  • Experience with DB2 z/OS databases.
  • Experience working with VSAM files.
  • Experience using Control-M for process monitoring and scheduling.
  • Previous experience working in Agile development teams.
  • Experience or knowledge of the Bradesco environment is considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of ChangeMan, DumpMaster, Hexavision, or Service Manager is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to technical challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to document technical solutions and procedures clearly.
