Job Description
O'Brien Dental Lab is hiring a Production Scheduler I to process incoming casework and enter prescriptions into case tracking software. This position supports efficient workflow for our production team and on-time delivery to customers.
This is a full-time position with benefits, starting as a Level I scheduler with opportunity for advancement.
Schedule
Initially Monday-Friday 9:30 am - 6:30 pm
After the initial training period of approximately 6 months, this position has every other Friday off with the following schedule:
Week 1: Monday-Friday (40 hrs)
Week 2: Monday-Thursday (32 hrs)
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret customer prescriptions
- Enter and schedule casework using lab management software
- Deliver and communicate about cases and workflow with the production team
- Cross-check casework to ensure cases are accounted for and data is accurate
- Unbox and disinfect incoming cases
- Order supplies

- Works independently and efficiently
- Has strong data entry skills with speed and accuracy
- Navigates between multiple computer programs with ease
- Is organized and manages time well
- Has high attention to detail
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience using computers and software programs
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of office and customer service experience in a professional environment
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in a temperature controlled office environment. The dental lab is housed in the same building and this position requires entry into the lab occasionally, which contains dust and noise.
- Continuously perform stationary work, operating computer equipment and other office productivity equipment.
- Continuously communicate and exchange information via phone, computer, and in-person.
- Occasionally stand and intermittently walk across level floor surfaces.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally reach, bend, kneel to access items at ground level or above shoulder height.
