Job Description
Accertify enables commerce by doing one thing extraordinarily well: pinpointing fraud. The company's Predictive Yes Platform helps businesses say yes to more - more good customers, more revenue, and more growth - without getting burned. It's a precise, confident, data-backed yes, made possible by joining signals across the entire customer lifecycle through unmatched data volume, layered AI-powered models, and a consortium approach that protects clients from bad actors spotted anywhere in the network while unlocking business with good actors verified anywhere in the network. With more than 10 billion transactions and over $1 trillion in commerce processed in 2025 alone, Accertify delivers the intelligence and precision that fraud and payments teams need to say yes confidently and enable growth. That's the More Yes difference.
Essential Duties & Responsibilites:
- Own primary architecture coverage and support Account Executives on strategic enterprise opportunities, competitive displacement deals, and complex multi-product architectures, contributing to Tier 1 quota and win-rate objectives.
- Lead enterprise architecture-definition engagements—requirements analysis, target-state design, integration strategy, and non-functional requirement definition—for accounts with the highest technical complexity, across multiple business units or geographies.
- Serve as the senior technical design authority in high-stakes engagements, building relationships with customer enterprise architects, security teams, and VP/C-level technical stakeholders.
- Define and own the organization's pre-sales design methodology, including reference-architecture frameworks, design-review standards, POC/pilot evaluation templates, and hand-off package standards.
- Author and maintain the organization's authoritative technical assets: reference architectures, integration pattern libraries, design standards, and security architecture guidelines that set the bar for the architect team.
- Author and own statements of work (SOWs) for strategic and complex engagements, and define the SOW standards, templates, and quality bar used across the architect team.
- Lead complex security and compliance architecture reviews during the sales cycle, defining controls and data-handling designs that satisfy stringent regulatory and enterprise-security requirements (e.g., PCI DSS).
- Own the technical hand-off to Onboarding on strategic accounts, ensuring the design package is complete, accurate, and preserves design intent so implementation proceeds without re-discovery or rework.
- Own POC/pilot technical methodology and lead individual evaluations on strategic accounts from scoping through documented completion against measurable success criteria.
- Lead structured technical sessions with Product and Engineering, synthesizing field intelligence into an actionable roadmap and platform input.
- Mentor and develop Solutions Architects through design coaching, architecture reviews, SOW and hand-off quality review, onboarding, and ongoing skills development, serving as an organizational force multiplier.
- Provide authoritative responses to the most complex architecture, security, and integration evaluations, including multi-stakeholder technical reviews and competitive displacements.
- Obtain and maintain relevant payment, security, and privacy certifications as required (e.g., PCI ISA Certification).
- Travel as required to support business development (up to 35%).
- Lead the end-to-end solutions architecture process from technical discovery through certified handoff to the Onboarding team, including solution design, requirements validation, and development of the Statement of Work (SOW). Own and author all design deliverables, ensuring a complete and accurate handoff package that enables successful implementation by the Onboarding team. Post-certification implementation execution remains the responsibility of Onboarding.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years in solutions architecture, sales/solutions engineering, technical consulting, or integration engineering, including significant time owning technical designs for complex, multi-system deployments.
- Demonstrated depth in API design and integration, data modeling, and security/compliance architecture.
- Proven ability to lead technical engagements independently with enterprise and C/VP-level technical stakeholders.
- Track record of authoring reusable technical assets (reference architectures, design standards, SOWs, or equivalent) and mentoring other technical staff.
- Domain experience in payments, fraud, risk, or adjacent regulated environments strongly preferred.
- Experience in a quota-carrying or deal-influencing pre-sales capacity preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience; relevant security or cloud certifications a plus.
Core Competencies:
- Enterprise solution architecture and complex, multi-system integration design
- Advanced security and compliance architecture (payments/fraud domain)
- Design standard, reference architecture, SOW, and hand-off standard authorship
- Senior technical stakeholder engagement and competitive differentiation
- Mentorship, design coaching, and team capability development
- Cross-functional technical leadership across Product, Engineering, and Onboarding
- Ambiguity tolerance in high-complexity, high-stakes deal cycles
Key Performance Indicators:
- Quota attainment/win rate on Tier 1 and strategic opportunities
- SC-influenced pipeline on strategic accounts
- POC/pilot technical success rate
- Time to revenue (shared with Onboarding), design-influenced portion—self and team:
- Time from deal signature to implementation certification
- Time from deal signature to first production traffic passing into the platform
- Time from certification to production traffic (tracked; lightly weighted, as this is primarily onboarding/customer-driven)
- Design-package quality at hand-off, measured by Onboarding acceptance and post-close rework/clarification rate
- SOW quality and turnaround (completeness, accuracy, and cycle time; standards owned by this role)
- Reduction in post-close technical escalations and time-to-revenue delays attributable to pre-sales design gaps (team-wide)
- Adoption and reuse of authored reference architectures, design standards, SOW templates, and hand-off templates
- Team capability uplift (architect ramp, design-review and hand-off quality, mentee progression)
