We're looking for an experienced software integration engineer to lead Validation & Verification (V&V) efforts at Plus by conducting hands-on testing of our autonomous driving stack, with a particular focus on our planning stack or safety rated embedded MCU. In this role, you will also work together with engineering and operations teams to develop and implement closed-course vehicle testing programs. Your responsibilities will include creating and executing end-to-end software test plans for autonomous driving, supporting development on either the planning or MCU teams, and generating tooling and documentation to improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Lead planning and execution of closed-course autonomous vehicle system testing.
- Create V&V plans and develop test matrix based on product requirements to thoroughly test autonomy software on-vehicle.
- Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot software errors, including working with Linux, ROS, sensors, actuators, and various log data.
- Work with engineers to determine how to test different parts of the autonomy stack and report back test failures to management.
- Organize and execute field testing to test autonomy software on-vehicle in various environments including closed course.
- Execute the test cases based on release milestones.
- Support development of either the planning stack or the embedded safety MCU
- Generate documentation and back-end tooling to improve operational efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics
- 2+ years of experience creating and executing test plans for software and hardware systems.
- 2+ years of experience working with robotics, automotive, or autonomous vehicles.
- Experience debugging system behaviors in Linux, ROS, C++, and Python, and identifying software failures caused by hardware sensors.
- Programming skills in Python, C++, bash
- Willingness to travel to test sites near San Antonio, Texas and around the country.

- Previous experience working in testing Autonomy or ADAS applications.
- Previous experience in Validation and Verification at an autonomous vehicle company.
- Previous experience testing large vehicles in defense, mining, construction, or agriculture.
- Experience with autonomous driving compute systems, sensors and communication protocols.
